How to protect sensitive skin in cold weather

  • Moist your skin well
    • Dry skin is usually more sensitive than the other tppe of skin, especially in cold season. What you need to do is to use natural lotions and creams. Every morning after showering or washing hands and face, rub a little coconut oil on your body. Coconut oil contains nutrients naturally, such as oil, original, protein and vitamins A, C, D and E which are very useful to skin. Also it keeps your skin moist and prevents premature aging.
  • Wash your face with mineral water
    • If your skin is dry don’t wash it with tap water, as it contains chlorine, fluoride and other minerlas. Instead wash your face with mineral water or alcohol-free lotions. Just people with very dry and sensitive skin should wash their face with such products. After washing apply a a good moisturizer on your skin.
  • Use Oat soap for washing your face
    • When bathing, use mild soap. Wash your face with oat mild soup once a week. Dermatologists say; people who have dry skin should not take shower every day. After showering do not rub your dry skin with towels, dry your skin gently. Also you can rub your skin with natural oil (olive – coconut, etc) when it is still wet.
  • Reconsider the type of oil that you consume in your food diet
    • If your skin is too dry, scaly, itchy and even painful sometimes because of dryness, you are more at risk of Eczema and other skin diseases. It is recommended to use coconut oil, bran oil and more butter to your food. Moreover, you can eat cold river fish which is a good source of Omega 3.
  • Keep your environment moist
    • Use humidifier in your bedroom specially in cold and dry seasons. Increasing the amount of air humidity reduces skin dryness.
  • For having beautiful hands
    • Use gloves in cold weather
    • Wet home weather
    • Use plastic gloves when doing housework
    • Rub your hands gently with a little of vegetable oil once a week or take an herbal bath. Take a 10-15 minutes herbal bath with boiled Calendula, Nettle or Chamomile herbs. Rub a little of Rosemary oil or Almond oil to your dry skin afterwards.
