How to get a better Alexa rank with Website Traffic

There are many reasons why someone would want get a better Alexa ranking and in fact, one of the most prominent reasons is because they want their site to look more established. A website that has a low Alexa ranking and high Pagerank is usually considered an authority site, depending on how much content it has.Today, we will be giving you a few tricks we use to get a better Alexa rank.

If you happen to have a Wordpress blog, we highly suggest that you install the Alexa ranking widget. This basically tells users what your rank is. Also, we did some experimenting in the past couple weeks. We added this plugin to one of our sites and once we did, our Alexa went from 800,000 to only 100,000 which is very impressive. With this widget installed, you’ll notice your Alex lowering each day if you have a significant amount of website traffic.

Now, even if you don’t have Wordpress – you can still install Alexa on your site.
If it is an HTML based site, go ahead and get the Alexa code, pasting it in either the footer or sidebar of your site. Once you have this placed on your site, your Alexa will continue to lower instead of rise. This is one trick that most people don’t know when it comes to getting a better Alexa rank. However, in order for this to work – you need to have a fair amount of traffic, say anywhere from a hundred visitors a day to thousands, Within 1-3 months – your Alexa rank can drop to 70,000 or even less but this really depends on your website and it’s visitors.

Remember that it is critical to always keep your widget or code on the website,
because we have noticed that some websites who have removed this will sometimes see their Alexa rate climb.
