The Deadly Effects of Global warming

Greenhouse gases which are released into the atmosphere sadly lasts for decades, in some cases hundreds and even thousands of years. This means that global warming will continue to have an ongoing effect on the earth and its inhabitants for many years to come.

These climate changes which take place in the atmosphere are steadily increasing the temperature on Earth. There has been a drastic increase in temperature over the past two decades alone. The temperature has increased by one degree Fahrenheit in the last one hundred years, according to scientists.

The global warming phenomenon is being currently widely discussed all over the world, from scientists to politicians to the general public. The effects of Global warming are becoming far more evident and many now do realize that global warming needs to be resolved soon. Both people and individual countries have initiated steps in working towards finding a solution to cure this catastrophic phenomenon before it is too late to save the world.

The spreading of disease is one of the unfortunate effects of global warming. Scientists believe that it is mainly due to global warming that malaria has never been fully eradicated.

In addition to this, scientists believe that due to ocean temperatures rising, stronger and frequent hurricanes will continue to occur and cause destruction on a worldwide scale.

There is also a high probability of heat waves and intense drought occurrences, even though there are some areas on Earth which will become wetter as a result of global warming - the rest will be hit by droughts and heat waves. It is also thought that Africa will experience the worst and severe droughts are expected to occur in Europe. Water is an extremely rare commodity in Africa, and the Intergovernmental Climate change panels state that global warming will exacerbate conditions further and possible lead to further war and conflicts.

The economic consequences resulting from damages of hurricanes and diseases will have severe economic backlashes. The results of these occurrences will cause more conflict and result in expenses beyond control.

The effect of the melting Polar ice caps is a severe danger, resulting in rising sea levels. According to statements by relevant snow and ice data centers, if the glaciers fully melt the seas would then rise incredibly, perhaps drowning certain islands and parts of entire countries.

The melting of the ice caps will result in an out of balance global ecosystem. The fresh water icecaps will result in desalination of the ocean, meaning the ocean will be less salty. Desalinization of gulf currents will affect ocean currents that regulate temperatures negatively. Stream irregularity or shutdown cool areas around the northeast of America and the Western part of Europe.

Several species of animals will become endangered due to rising temperatures and changing landscapes, leaving only animals that are the most adaptable to survive.

Global warming, after the ice caps have totally melted, will snowball resulting in no sunlight reflection that cools the earth, heating up the earth even more.
