This Hubble image using the Advanced Camera for Surveys reveals an intricate, delicate and exceedingly faint spiral pattern. It’s so faint no one has ever detected it before!

On May 27, 2010, in Hake’s Americana’s 200th sale, this 10- by 11- by 6 3/4-inch deep glazed ceramic figural cookie jar by American Bisque Co. from about the early 1960s, sold for $10,143.67, including 15 percent buyer’s premium.
The cookie jar depicts Harvey Cartoons characters Katnip hunkered down while Herman the mouse stands atop his back, serving as the lid handle.
